I borrowed this from my local library and it is Just Like The NCLEX. I put myself on a strick schedule of studying this book. I did not have time to study the CD Rom, but that would've been fabulous. Unfortunately now Ive forgotten all of the information in it:{ This is THE STUDY GUIDE!

I bought this along with several other programs due to its having a CD (even though it had only one practice test)and its being advertised to mimic the new NCLEX format. The book and the CD were not in the new format and didnt have questions (such as multiple multiples and diagrams) similar to the new NCLEX. Also, after taking the 2 hour practice test, the program would not let me see my results nor the analysis of any questions. Tech phone support said it happens sometimes and to try retaking the test (waste another 2 hrs of my valuble time?) Tech email support sent a return email several days after I had already taken the NCLEX.So neither the book nor the CD is as Kaplan advertised and the CD doesnt work and tech support in awful. Therefore don't waste your money on this. Two very good study tools I recommend are from ERI and from Lippincot. I credit these two aids (along with alot of prayer) with passing NCLEX after answering only 75 questions.Joe Munzberg, RN

Well I passed the NCLEX. There were some nice test taking stratagies, and some good questions, but if you are already taking a NCLEX study course this is overkill (take that how you want).

Great product

This was one of the more difficult of the NCLEX books, it has more of the pick all of the correct answer questions. Make sure you use the CD to study with it gets you into the computer testing mode for the real NCLEX. Use this and the Lippincott's Review for Nclex-Rn,Mosby's Comprehensive Review of Nursing for NCLEX-RN® (Mosby's Comprehensive Review of Nursing for Nclex-Rn)to study for your nursing school tests. They are very helpul in getting you into the critical thinking mode instead of the memorization mode.

In July of 2004, I took my boards and did not pass. I was devestated. After picking myself up and dusting off, I found the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2004-2005 book. As I read through these reviews I was shocked to see that some people thought the book was horrible. It is important to Know that before opening this book to review you must already have reviewed all areas of nursing content (Med surg, pediatrics, maternity, ...) This book was my bible and questions in the book are the closest to the NCLEX RN exam I have ever seen! I took my boards again in September 2004 and passed with 75 questions! I attribute this success to this amazing book. If you follow thier stratagies, you will pass!!I suggest to study with this book, after completing Saunders Comprehensive Review book. For anyone who is displeased with Kaplan RN it is only because they needed a more in depth review of basic Nursing content before following Kaplan's stratagies to pass. This book should only be used in your final stretch of studying before the exam. Good luck!

I just took the NCLEX two days ago and passed and I think this book was the most helpful. The questions were the most like the ones I encountered on the NCLEX and the authors did an excellent job giving strategies for how to approach the questions. This book truly focuses on the application of knowledge and not just the recall of random facts, which most of the other NCLEX books did. The CD rom was extremely helpful in targeting my problem areas, it gave a breakdown of the different testing areas after the test.

This book is easy to understand! For those of us who are not gifted in working our way through computer software and setting up things like websites but who run small businesses, this book is a big help.There is only so much time in a day and any book intended to explain how to use something needs to be clear, easy to understand and straight to the point.That describes Selling on Shopify.The chapters make sense, cover options other than Shopify for a small business that wants an online e-commerce presence, and explains the pros and cons of each.The author also explains options for creating an online store on Shopify using outside vendors and programmers.A useful, easy to use book.

I have read several books on this topic and this book was by far the best. To start with, the information went into greater detail than any other book I have read. Also, the writing style was excellent. Though I did notice a few typos and grammatical issues, there were not a lot. Most of the other ebooks I have read had so many grammatical errors that it became annoying and just seemed thrown together quickly. I could tell that this author knew his subject well and put in the time and effort to deliver a quality book.

This book seemed out of date. Several of the things referred to were not even options. I found Youtube videos to be more helpful. Screen captures would have been helpful as well. All text. No photos. I don't learn well that way.

This is a good book on how to run a shopify store. However most of all the information is also availble on the shopify web site and shopify also has reps who help their clients This book is a decent read for someone without a shopify account who is just exploring what they have to offer and how to go about it.

A good book to start with for those who are new to the dropshipping model and want to learn more about the prerequisites, the platform and setting up your first store.

I read this book when I was introduced to Shopify for a new job over a year ago. It helped me get my bearings. I just re-read some of the marketing tips, which are not extensive, but instead are basic. The MailChimp suggestions will help me get more out of the email, but generally appreciated this book to get started with the platform. I only had a brief introduction to ecommerce previously, but no practical experience. Very helpful.

Very knowledgeable and science based book!! Wonderful knowledge my only issue is I wish it was a bit more organized or had a section dedicated to diffusers and it's simply states put what you want into diffusers which being new to the game is a bit confusing and daunting as oils are expensive and I would just love to know an actual acceptable ratio of oils to add as as to avoid waste and excess. Otherwise I highly recommend this I learned a lot and I have read the previous edition and decided to get the updated version and has a lot of good information as a reference book simple look up and formulas and only thing I wish was that the prints were a bit larger. Otherwise content good and useful information and tells me everything I wanted to know about essential oils and answers questions I hadn't even thought of yet and i have a fairly extensive collection of books on the subject but I won't need them any more.

I hate to diss authors, but this book is terrible.Super basic, very short book, About 40 essential oil recipes (total book is 59 pages) that are not well written or defined (i.e. store recipe in glass container.....how about telling me what size container (2 oz. 4 oz. 8 oz. etc) Also talks about using syringes for measuring.....99% of other books I've read use droppers.Not edited well (i.e. store is a cool, dull place.....you mean cool, dark place?). When you read the book, it's like English was not the primary language of the other. (i.e. you ought to keep your oils in dim shaded glass bottles...really?)This book was $8.99. Save your money and buy something like Essential Oils for Beginners by Althea Press for $9.99 and 224 pages of really well written, useful information.

Although the book is mainly focused on providing recipes for essential oils the author has provided a comprehensive guide to get a proper understanding of essential oils. Which is including the introduction of essential oils, different natural ingredients and how they effects our daily life and helps us to have a healthy life. Although some of the recipes are old but the author has made some interesting changes to them which i found very effective to get a decent result. I really appreciate the read and very much looking forward to it.

This book explores the history of essential oils as well as their modern day implementation. It's a refreshing read highlighting the usage of oils for a variety of ailments and how they've been integrated into the medical field and accepted as a reliable alternate treatment for many conditions. There is specific information given on how to buy, use and experience the oils which was extremely helpful to a novice such as myself who has always been curious about them but has not yet ventured into actual use.

This book is a great reference book and gives you step by step recipes for natural cures and healthy living. It is easy to read ,I am learning so much from this book.Essential Oil Recipe book is a must have for anyone wanting to make full use of their essential oils and learn all the benefits that the different recipes have to offer.

I am going to give some of these recipes a try. The recipes seem simple enough, and I have many of the essential oils on hand.

LOVE this music!! I'm an okay pianist, but I could play most of this music and if I practice I think I'll be able to play them all. I especially love the first song "I will be what I believe" because of its message and tune. It is beautiful. I'm so happy to have this in my home. Watch the you tube video of this song and you'll be singing it for days. That is where I first heard this song.

My nine year old daughter chose to use her birthday money to buy this book/CD. She plays the pianos, but is not yet at this level. She didn't care. She loves the songs so much. And now that I've played and heard them, I absolutely agree. I don't think I can even choose a favorite. Everyone them is beautiful. I'm an average player, but can absolutely play all of these songs with some practice. I think that I will be playing the piano alot more know that this beautiful music has arrived in our home.

Love these songs! My favorites are I will be what I believe, I'll know for myself, and Behold your little ones. The He lives in you and I hope they call me on a mission have grown on me and I enjoy those as well. Not that the others aren't good, these are just my favorites. I like that the music is simple enough to learn quickly, but not too simple as not to sound good. I'm not a great piano player, but have learned most of the first 3 songs I mentioned in a short amount of time. Great value for both the book and the CD. I love that I can listen to these in the car or where ever I go and having the CD helps me learn the rhythm when learning to play them as well.

I love the music, but I really only wanted and needed the sheet music for the first song. I didn't want to have to purchase the whole book, since it came out of my church budget that I'm trying to be frugal with. I'll try to get some use out of it, but I really wish the the first song was available by itself.

Love the songbook and the CD. I love the songs that take the primary well known songs and mix them together in a new and fun way of singing them. I already have high hopes for teaching my primary kids the songs and having them for performances throughout the year. My 7 year old niece loved to listen to it with me and was singing along the first time hearing it because she already knew many of the words. What an inspired way to bring the songs we love into a new way of singing them.

My kids and I absolutely love the songs in this book. We stumbled upon the album and fell in love with the cool primary song mash-ups, and then I ordered the book right away so that we would have the music if we ever wanted to use it in primary. These are amazing arrangement of some of my all time favorite primary songs. They are fun and original and I always feel the spirit when we listen to these songs. They will be some of our favorites for years to come. The piano music is not overly difficult, but harder than the primary songbook.

Some are quite insightful, but I am afraid some others indulge in academic theries (call it a sea of jargon). See the title, pick it, and give it a chance.PART 3 is most interesting (to me), but, alas! not so long. In # 9 Pam Katz tells us the inside story of how Cuaron's modernized version came to be what it is now, with several comments from the director himself. It is quite fascinating to know that Ms Paltrow's Estella was supposed to have a job (what was it? Read and find it.) And the interview with the great Margoyles is not to be missed, who gives a quite frank (and often funny) accounts of her visions about Dickensian world, and her works (she is famous for playing one Dickensian character on stage, and you know who).The last PART 5 is a filmography, but sadly, it is not perfect. I do not lament the loss of "Ms. Scrooge" ("A Chrismas Carol" of PC era). But I was shocked to see they omit 1922 Jackie Coogan version of "Oliver Twist" from the list when they use one of its stills on the book jacket! This must be remedied right now. And unaccountably, while # 16 essay refers to the 1935 version "Scrooge," the filmography again forget to record it. And please remember, the 1997 verions of "Oliver" stars Elijah Wood, one of the stars of "LOTR." (Haven't they seen this fantastic trilogy yet?) Michael Pointer's superb filmography (or IMDB) is still indispensable.The collection, to me, lacks the central topic, or pivot on which the whole book should be constructed, being too miscellanious. Some part are great, I am sure, but I still do not know why they made this collection. Maybe my lukewarm reaction reflects the difficulty of writing about the two types of media -- book and film -- at the same time.

Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. A totally different take on the Prodigal Son teaching in the Scriptures than I've seen previous to this. It was convicting and reassuring, both. Caused self-examination in me. Timothy Keller, from all indications, seems to be a biblically oriented teacher. Refreshing. I think his position on Grace is on point for the most part. I am not aware of any deviation from Scripture in this book.

A lot of the books I read on here are for my personal study, and my personal interests, hence the chess books, but this book was for a sermon series that I have developed on the Prodigal Son parable. I have planned a years worth of sermons, so before I start a new series of lessons, I begin to read about the topic. This was why I selected to book. I wanted to blend something that was popular level with some scholarly reading on this parable. This book was insightful, and practical, and easy to read. I have never read any of Keller's material before, and left this book impressed. He is a good author, and does his homework in the text. The book tells the story of the Prodigal Son, though he notes that this is perhaps not the best title for the parable. The book looks at the major characters of the parable, which was helpful because that was the way I developed the series of lessons. He does a good job of highlighting the point of the parable within the attitude of the older brother, and using some of Willimon's material, of preaching to the baptized, this created a lot of connection to the text. A lot of the people in church will agree with the sinner coming home, but demonstrating the attitude of the older brother is the common sin in numerous church pews. The book does a good job of bridging the ancient social context with the modern world. This book helped with the sermon series and it would be a good book just to read on its own. It is short, interesting, and good.

I had to read this book for a masters class and can I tell you how wonderfully enlightened is this author! Besides having an easy writing style the critical message is so truthful there's no need to force feed the reader. The Bible' truth can be received by children and go over the heads of so-called intellectuals because truth doesn't emanate from man's wisdom. This book highlights God's wisdom and announces how very wrong some of us are with regard to how we view who is our brother and who is our neighbor. Those young in the faith will get an insiders perspective of a Christian who walks the talk. Those long in the faith should be jolted from sleepwalking. Well done Mr. Keller!

"This short book is meant to lay out the essentials of the Christian message, the gospel." So begins Timothy Keller's new book The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith. Keller targets both seekers who are unfamiliar with the gospel and longtime church members who may not feel the need for a primer on the gospel.Keller's book, as the provocative title suggests, is built on one of Jesus' most famous stories: the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15). Keller consents that "on the surface of it, the narrative is not all that gripping." But, he contends that "if the teaching of Jesus is likened to a lake, this famous Parable of the Prodigal Son would be one of the clearest spots where we can see all the way to the bottom." Keller has taught from this passage many times over the years, and says, "I have seen more people encouraged, enlightened, and helped by this passage, when I explained the true meaning of it, than by any other text."The book is laid out in seven brief chapters which aim to uncover the extravagant (prodigal) grace of God, as revealed in this parable. Keller shows how the parable describes two kinds of "lost" people, not just one. Most people can identify the lostness of the "prodigal son," the younger brother in Jesus' story, who takes his inheritance early and squanders it on riotous living. But Keller shows that the "elder brother" in the parable is no less lost. Together, the two brothers are illustrations of two kinds of people in the world. "Jesus uses the younger and elder brothers to portray the two basic ways people try to find happiness and fulfillment: the way of moral conformity and the way of self-discovery." Both brothers are in the wrong, and when we see this, we discover a radical redefinition of what is wrong with us. "Nearly everyone defines sin as breaking a list of rules. Jesus, though, shows us that a man who has violated nothing on the list of moral misbehaviors may be every bit as spiritually lost as the most profligate, immoral person. Why? Because sin is not just breaking the rules, it is putting yourself in the place of God as Savior, Lord and Judge just as each son sought to displace the authority of the father in his own life." As these quotes hint, Keller's exposition of the two sons lays the groundwork for a penetrating analysis and critique of both moral relativists on the liberal left and religious moralists on the conservative right, showing that the latter are just as lost as the former. What both need is Jesus, whom Keller presents as "the true elder brother," the one who comes to our rescue at his own expense. Through his grace, we are given hope and invited to the great feast of the Father.As with Keller's preaching, this book is intelligent and winsome, combining thoughtful reflection on both text and culture with searching heart application. Keller's book is effectively illustrated with a liberal use of stories and quotations from literature, movies, and the arts. Most imporantly, the book orients the reader's heart to the hope of the gospel of God's grace revealed in Christ.One more note: for readers who may have felt intimidated by Keller's recent book The Reason for God, don't shrink away from The Prodigal God. Very helpful, full of information, with lots of little tips that aren't mentioned in the many tutorials I've watched/read. However, for whatever reason, none of the links to video demonstrations of techniques are operative. I read though the book using kindle app on my tablet, then came to see if the links would work reading it on Amazon's kindle cloud - still no go. Five stars if the link issue can be resolved!
