When I requested Your New Money Mindset to review, I had no idea that shortly after the beginning of the year my husband would be offered a job back in Colorado. Four years ago we left Colorado for a job for him in the Ozarks of SW Missouri. After a year of unemployment, we were more than ready to accept a job offer that was less then what he’d been making. I’m a freelance editor and writer, and while the income pretty much averages the same year after year, the income itself is rather sporadic. Feast or famine. We do know that over and over again in the last five years, the Lord has been faithful to provide our needs and many of our wants. We’ve never gone hungry, but we have had to give up some of our eating out. We’ve had enough to pay our bills, but not a lot to spend frivolously.Before my husband was unemployed, we were living paycheck to paycheck, hoping that we could keep up the balancing act a little longer. We knew that really wasn’t the Lord’s way, but we saw no way to do anything else. During hubby’s year of unemployment, we went the route of paying for everything with cash. If we didn’t have it, we didn’t buy it. We threw our credit cards away. (Now we each have one credit card, and what we charge we pay off each month.)I’m very thankful I read Your New Money Mindset by Brad Hewitt and James Moline. Not only did it confirm that we finally have a healthy relationship with money, but also we are able to be more generous with what we have. And for the most part we are content with that. We’re not perfect, and yes, we’re still tempted to put wants ahead of our needs and charge too much on the credit cards. But the times of giving in to that temptation are much less than they were before unemployment.Thankfully the authors have sound advice on how to determine if our relationship with money is healthy or not, where we need to change, and how to effect that change without facing the dire consequences of our choices as we had to. As they point out several times, Jesus spoke more on money than on any other topic. The Bible has much to say about materialism, consumerism, and the other –isms in our world economy.I came away from reading the book encouraged and empowered to continue making good choices in my own relationship with money. Whether you are one who is blessed with a generous attitude toward money or one who struggles paycheck to paycheck and longs to achieve the ability to be generous, the authors of Your New Money Mindset will give thoughtful, scriptural principles to live by. I highly recommend the book.I was given a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for a review.

I don't read much erotic romance or romance in general. Until now, I've only read the work of one author, and picked up this book because that author highly recommended it. I liked it quite a bit, though I found some of the genre tropes (incredible, unmatched, never-to-be-equaled sex; stubborn stupidity repeatedly delaying the HEA) a bit obtrusive. (On the other hand, given the premise, for Stella to experience unmatched sex was certainly credible.)Stella is a wonderful, fascinating character. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and rooting for her. Michael almost matches her in interest. Their personalities and challenges are generally believable. I can't say their lapses back into self-destructive self-image are less convincing, but I was somehow not entirely convinced.One genre convention I love is the HEA, which means I don't have to be worried about whether the cluelessness of either or both will prevent them getting the happiness they deserve.

Of course, the first meeting between Stella and his family made me want to cover my eyes cuz it was just an entire mess! I really felt for Stella there. But the other times Stella meets his family was pretty great, after that 1st disastrous meeting. I really liked seeing Michael cooking and interacting with his family and we get to learn bits of his Vietnamese culture.I really wanted to hug and shake Michael at times. Especially with his dad's infamous legacy shadowing him his entire life and he feels like he could never be good enough for stella. And on the flip side Stella feeling like Michael broke it off cuz he pitied her for being autistic. I wanted to scream at both "you are so wroooong!!" get it together lolBut Michael did also annoy me at a few times. Especially when Stella's coworker kissed her and she's pretty upset and yup Michael's concerned BUT at the same time he came across as being a bit angry at Stella when bro cut her some slack she didnt want to kiss that dude. Simmer down.Stellaaaaaa i really loved her. especially when she initially thinks she needs to change, be less different but soon realizes nah this is who she is and it doesn't make her less to be autistic.And the ending was perfect for me. I loved how it was all wrapped up! I'm excited for the Bride Test, Khai's book (Quan's bro). We meet Khai very briefly in here and i can't wait for book 2!

This book was reviewed as a favorite by literary critics on The Today Show last month. It is a quick read, but no substance at all, and all sex. Not what I was expecting. For me, a waste of a Sunday afternoon!!

Well written with an interesting side sequence - as we prepare breakfast, so much of what we do is affected by basic atomic physics. It is written with clear explanations for what we observe, with plenty of scientific history thrown in. Easy reading but requires each chapter to be digested. Like breakfast.

I am not good in physics. I may not understand all knowledge provided by the book but I am pleased to find that it is written in easy to understand style.

My Physics teacher would have devoured this book were he alive to hear about it!I was drawn to the title because well, "everyday Physics" or rather "Physics in every day life" who wouldn't want to read that? Besides the phrase "Quantum Physics" is enough to get me thinking of everything that's way above my time to reason and comprehend but reading this made me look at everything like "uh? really...who knew?" and I like that.Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I enjoyed this book. Its approach, explaining everyday events in terms of physics, is very similar to that of “The Physics of Everyday Things” by James Kakalios, but the books quickly diverge. The book by Chad Orzel just plays lip service to everyday life; his explanations are a lot more technical than those of Kakalios. And while I found the the Orzel book very well written, it didn’t have the warmth or humor of the Kakalios book. On the other hand, there was more in depth physics in the Orzel book, so it comes down to personal taste and I favored the Kakalios book. However they are both very good books and I recommend either one of them, depending on what the reader is looking for.Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley for review purposes.

The format of this book is much more easily read than a physics text and integrated with much more practicality. That said, I’d recommend reading it while well rested as it’s not mind-numbing romantic novelizations of fictional characters.It’s not at all bad- but ya really gotta love physics to devote time to this.

The author took a topic that is hard to hold most people's interest and wrote an informative and interesting book. I enjoyed this and learned a lot.
