This is quite literally the worst law school textbook I have ever been assigned. It is literally worthless, despite its ridiculous price. I would give it zero stars, but Amazon won't let me do that...so one star it is. The thing is poorly written and was, and will be until this class is over, the bane of my existence. I get ill looking at the book. I consider jumping off my balcony every time I look at the book, but I live on the second floor and there is an awning directly below my balcony, making any attempt futile and equally pathetic as is this book's attempt to explain tax to anyone or anything, bird, beast, or fowl. I cannot wait to re-sell this piece of refuse to another law student to recoup at least some of my money. This is the ONLY law school textbook I have ever had any desire to part with. I, however do not intend to sell my statutory supplement. This is not because I think it is a great piece of legislation, but rather because the re-sale value is too low to justify the resale compared to what I plan to do to it. I am going to Rand Paul the statutory supplement (that's taking a chainsaw to it for those who missed the last presidential primary) instead. Only buy this book if you have a death wish you wish you follow through on. This book will be your own Kevorkian device.

This book is skimmpy. A complete owner's manual?? Seriously?? I purchase this book along with "My Dwarf Rabbit" and the "My Dwarf Rabbit book" is a lot more thicker with more detail. And has a lot longer list of Dwarf rabbit breeds. But really, both books are a waste of time. I have a Dutch Bunny and will soon get a mini lop (not a dwarf rabbit) or Holland lop, and both books in specialty will tell you about the different breeds of dwarf rabbits, but care, food etc....there's no real difference from any other rabbit care books out there that I've read. Just saying that if you choose to purchase this book thinking like I did that dwarf rabbits need more specific care than any other rabbit, then don't get this book based on that alone. You may get this book for all the cute pictures though.

The book's design and photos are very pleasing (& very cute!). The author offers much useful and easy to understand advice. If you're looking into getting a bunny or just became an owner of one, I highly recommend this book because it will make you & your bunny's lives easier. It gives you tips on how to bond with your bunny, what to do and what NOT to do with him/her. I made the mistake of not having read this book before raising my bunny. I did things that I thought were completely normal to do (I have 2 very small dogs & have had many animals before) but were totally inappropriate when it comes to rabbits. Just being caring and loving is not enough. You need to learn to care and love the right way to ensure a happy and enjoyable life for the both of you.

It is a nice book, full of pictures and examples. It is very basic knowledge. It does not go too in detail on the many things it touches on. I believe most of what was inside could have been googled. But overall I nice book for those looking for very basic about dwarf rabbits.

This is a great, little book that tells you just about everything you need to know to raise a dwarf rabbit.

A great book for kids! My daughters have two dwarf bunnies so I got this book for them to help them understand their bunnies better and it worked like a charm! They loved reading this book and got tons of useful information from it! It explains the specifics of the dwarf bunny! You will have a new found understanding once you read this book!

This slim book offers a surprising amount of valuable and practical information. I love the great ideas and photos of how to set up an adventure playground, and how to provide plenty of activities to keep your rabbit happy. Really this book is fantastic for any rabbit owner, not just those with dwarf breeds. As a gardener I also love the table on page 33 which outlines the type of plants (including twigs)which can be offered to your rabbit, and which plants to avoid.Plenty of helpful, practical and creative tips(and great photos) to ensure the health and well being of your pet rabbit.

Good information but not as detailed as others I bought. Still 5 stars because it provides enough information for the beginner,who can then search the internet for more detailed information.

Very good reference book.Gives insights into the times before the Meiji restoration and thereafter. The author has direct connections with the principal families because she is from them. Gives her experiences as an American and Japanese. This is a must book for those interested in an intimate history of Japan. Her narration of the Japanese silk trade is very enlightening. She also gives valuable info about the ins and outs of Japanese life/politics especially the period from the Meiji era up to WWII. This is my favorite book about Japan next to D. Bergamini's book.

I may have reviewed this book previously, but will do again. I've traveled to Japan perhaps 20 times (and learned to speak Nihon-go), but this book filled in cultural details that I could not grasp. I was so impressed that I wanted to meet the author (now deceased) after I tracked down her son in DC. Haru was living in San Diego and writing another book. I thought ... terrific! as I am scheduled to attend a conference in San Diego (~1999) in 3 months so I will meet her then ... bad decision as she died (age 85) before I arrived in San Diego. I would note that I have probably bought 15-20 copies of Samauri and Silk over the years to give to friends. The book is a hagiography (I had to look up the word, which means a biography, warts and all, not just the favorable stuff). Her tales about her grandfathers are riveting, especially Matuskata-san, who helped to overthrow the shogun and was Finance Minister later.

Gave it to a friend as a gift. The gift was greatly appreciated.

Excellent first hand historical account of the meiji period in Japan.very informative and fascinating readingHighly recommended for those interested in a first hand account of Japanese history

This book gives a wonderful view of Meiji-era Japan. The Meiji era started, I believe, in the 1870's and extended to 1912[?]. During the reign of the Meiji Emperor, Japan first opened itself to Western culture and trade.One of Haru Matsukata Reischauer's grandfathers was an early silk merchant who journeyed to the United States. He came from a merchant/farmer family. Her other grandfather was a prominent Meiji-era statesman of the samuri class. (I believe a marriage from these two families could only have occurred after the opening of the Meiji-era.)This wonderfully written, elegant memoir gives an intimate portrayal not only of the Meiji era, but of the author's own experiences as her prominent family courageously distanced itself from the rising Japanese militartism that resulted in World War II.The author is the wife of Edmund O. Reischauer, Professor of History at Harvard University and Ambassador to Japan during the Kennedy administration.

An excellent read of so much Japanese history just by following these two families and all of their varied and accomplished members
